• 1917 – Built as the Union Club for the elites, but was abandoned in the 1930s
  • 1980s – Manuel Noriega gave it new life as the Club de Classes y Tropas (Club of Classes and Troops) where he threw lavish parties for his officers of the Panamanian Defense Force
  • 1989 – Almost completely destroyed during the U.S. invasion
  • It has been little more than a shell since, although it has been used for band practice, an events space, a skateboarding arena and a film location
  • 2000 – Some fresh paint selectively applied when scenes from the movie “The Tailor of Panama” were filmed here
  • Scenes from James Bond “Quantum Of Solace” were also filmed in this ruin
  • Currently being turned into a boutique hotel
