• Built in the 17th century
  • One of the original structures from Casco Viejo
  • Nearly totally destroyed by fires in 1737 and 1756
  • 1821 – Convent abandoned and briefly used as a military garrison
  • 1882 – Converted to the Hospital de Extranjeros
  • 1892 – Became a college and later a school
  • Most recently restored between 1999-2003 and is now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
